PHOENIXVILLE, Pa (September 30, 2019) – The FDU-Florham volleyball team picked up a three-set win over Valley Forge 25-14, 25-11, 25-12 on Monday.
The Devils improve to 5-7 on the season, as the Patriots fall to 3-12.
FDU jumped out to an 11-7 advantage in the first set. The Devils started a streak of four consecutive points, which all came off of kills. Junior
Liz Moise recorded a kill off an assist from sophomore

Nathalia Padron would then register three consecutive kills, to move the Devils lead to 15-7. Following a miscue by the Patriots, freshman
Julia Preslar etched her name on the stat sheet with a kill off of a set from sophomore
Ashley Dellolio. After a bad set from the Patriots, Padron added to the Devils lead with another kill, this time off of a pass from junior
Rebecca Morse. Up 18-9, the Devils would not let the lead leave their grasp, as they secured the set one victory.
FDU kept the momentum firmly on their side in the second set. The Devils opened the set with back-to-back kills from Padron off of assists from Ros. The Devils used two more kills from Padron and kills from freshman
Sophia Miskulin, Preslar and Moise, to jump out to a 15-6 lead.
Nearing the set victory, the Devils went on a 7-0 run. The run was highlighted by kills from Padron and Preslar. Now up 21-6, the Devils were able to close out the set and capture the second set victory.
Sitting one set away from winning the match, the Devils began the third set trailing the Patriots 4-0. The Patriots continued to play with the lead, as they went up 8-7 on the Devils. With their backs against the wall, the Devils strung together an impressive 14-0 run, to take a 21-11 lead. Miskulin shined during the run, as she contributed four kills. The Devils prevented the Patriots from cutting into their lead, as they closed out the set and match.
