MADISON, N.J. (May 10, 2019) – The FDU-Florham women's lacrosse team is gearing up for the ECAC Tournament this weekend.
TOURNAMENT INFO
The Devils will host Cabrini University in the first semifinal tomorrow at 11 a.m. while Drew University and Marymount University will square off in the second semifinal at 2 p.m. The two winners will meet Sunday at noon to crown the ECAC Champions.

$2: Children/Visiting Students
Free: Children under the age of six
FDU Students/Faculty/Staff will be admitted free of charge with an FDU ID courtesy of the Campus Executive Office.
SERIES HISTORY
FDU and Cabrini have met twice before, with the Devils winning both matchups. The last meeting was in the NCAA Tournament First in 2015, as FDU knocked off the Cavaliers 12-7. That 2015 team featured current FDU assistant coaches

Noelle Shirey.
SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
Cabrini enters the matchup with a 12-8 record and won the Atlantic East Conference Championship. They topped DeSales University 19-6 in the first round Wednesday to advance to the weekend. Avery Murphy leads the Cavaliers with 87 goals and 181 draw controls.
FDU NEWS
The Devils posted a 10-8 record this season, including a 6-1 mark inside the friendly confines of Robert T. Shields Field. Senior
Caroline Pape leads the team with 99 points and 58 draw controls, while classmate
Megan Nemeth has made 172 saves.
AWARD SEASON
Pape was chosen as the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Offensive Player of the Year, while classmates Nemeth,
Kathleen Petrucelli,
Caitlyn Damon, and
Leah Eble joined Pape as First Team selections. Sophomore
Nina Shirey gained Second Team accolades.
DEEE-FENSE
Shirey leads the Devils with 45 caused turnovers, as the team has forced 258 this season. Five Devils have forced 20 or more miscues.
RECORD-BREAKERS
Pape broke the school record for points in a game when she tallied 13 against Moravian. Additionally, she tied the school-best with eight goals in the same game. In the same game, Eble matched
Noelle Shirey,
Nina Shirey and
Brienna Reasoner's mark of seven caused turnovers in a single contest. Finally, with her 13 saves against Misericordia University last week, Nemeth became the career leader in saves. She has totaled 595 over her four seasons, three more than Amy Banghart had from 1998-2001.
