MADISON, N.J. (May 1, 2019) – Sophomore
Nicole DelRosso won two matches, but the FDU-Florham women's tennis team was topped by No. 2 seed DeSales University 5-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Semifinals Wednesday.
FDU falls to 15-5 on the season, as the Bulldogs improve to 15-4.

Mia Capozzoli earned the lone Devils doubles victory, winning 8-2 at the No. 1 flight. In the previous meeting, DelRosso and Capozzoli had gained a win at No. 2 doubles in winning 8-7 (7-4). Senior

Christine Kenny were topped 8-3 at the second flight, leveling the match. Sophomore
Kira Bradley and junior
Logan Squires fought hard at the third flight but were defeated 8-5.
Kenny was topped 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles, and Wolf, who was playing in her final match, was knocked off 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3. With the Bulldogs needing just one win to claim a victory, freshman
Erin Weller was topped 6-3, 6-1 giving DeSales the victory. DelRosso notched her second victory of the day, picking up a 6-2, 6-0 win at the top of the lineup. It was her second victory this season over DeSales at the No. 1 spot after winning 6-1, 6-2 in mid-April. Capozzoli had split her two sets and was entering a third when the match was halted. The junior fell 6-2 in the opening frame before battling back to a 6-3 triumph. Bradley notched a victory in the first at the No. 4 flight, winning 6-1. She was up 4-3 in the second but was unable to close out the set.
