MADISON, N.J. (March 30, 2019) – The FDU-Florham women's tennis team rebounded from a 9-0 setback against Wilkes to top Penn State-Abington 8-1 Saturday.
The Devils improve to 9-2 overall on the season but dropped to 0-1 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.

Mia Capozzoli proved to a tight battle for the Colonels at No. 2 doubles. DelRosso and Capozzoli fought hard but eventually were topped 8-4 at the second flight. Sophomore

Erin Weller teamed up at No. 3 doubles but were bested 8-2.
DelRosso dropped a straight-set 6-1, 6-1 decision at the lineup, while senior
Allyson Wolf and Capozzoli fell by the identical 6-1, 6-0 scores at No. 3 and No. 5 respectively. Junior
Christine Kenny put up a good match at No. 2 singles but was unable to pull out the victory, falling 6-4, 6-3. Bradley went three sets in the fourth spot, forcing the third and final frame after a 6-2 second set victory. The sophomore, who fell 6-0 in the opening frame, was topped 6-4 in the finale.
FDU-Florham 8, Penn State-Abington 1
The Devils picked up a pair of victories in doubles action; notching wins at both No. 2 and No. 3 flights. Capozzoli and DelRosso notched an 8-5 triumph, before Weller and junior
Logan Squires cruised to an 8-2 win. Squires and Weller are now 3-1 on the season as a doubles pairing, picking up two wins during the MAC Championship.
FDU swept singles action, including Capozzoli and Squires each tallying 6-0 pro-set wins at the bottom of the lineup. DelRosso breezed through her opponent at No. 1 singles, winning handily 6-1, 6-0. Kenny won 6-4, 6-3 at the second flight before Wolf notched a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 3. Completing the singles sweep was Bradley, who picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win.
