MSU moves to 6-5, while FDU drops to 3-5.

The Red Hawks opened the game with the first four tallies within the first 5:42 of the game. The final two goals of the run came within a 39-second span, forcing the Devils into taking a timeout. MSU had two other shots on goal in the first 12 minutes, but senior Megan Nemeth stymied both attempts. The Devils broke through with a free=position goal with 18:06 left, as senior Kathleen Petrucelli put the team on the board.

The hosts added two more goals before senior Caitlyn Damon ended the spurt with a free-position tally of her own. After Montclair upped the score to 8-2, Damon found sophomore Olivia Chaoush for a goal as the Devils went into the half down 8-3.

Nemeth made six saves during the opening 30 minutes of play, while the Devils defense forced 16 turnovers.

Montclair began the second half with five of the first six goals to break the game open. The lone Devils tally was a free-position goal scored by sophomore Mia Michaelides. Midway through the final period, rookie Mckenzie Hurt forced a turnover and Devils moved down the field in transition. Senior Caroline Pape netted the goal for the Devils as they back within eight.

The teams would trade the next two markers before Chaoush capped off the Devils scoring courtesy of a successful clearing attempt. Nemeth started the sequence by stopping a Red Hawk free-position attempt. Montclair closed out the game with the final three goals.
