Football Welcomes Albright on Saturday Afternoon

MADISON, N.J. (October 4, 2019) – The Devils football team continues Middle Atlantic Conference play on Saturday, as they welcome Albright College Saturday afternoon.

The game is scheduled to kick off at noon at Robert T. Shields Field.

$5 - Senior Citizens/Children Over 12/Visiting students

Free - FDU Students/Faculty/Staff with I.D./Children under 12 

LAST TIME OUT
FDU's performance last week was headlined by big plays on both ends of the ball. On offense, the Devils executed a 65-yard touchdown drive on their opening possession. Junior Alnazir Blackman concluded the drive with a 35-yard touchdown run. On defense, junior Tyre Williams picked off a Mustangs pass, and senior Shyheim Outland forced a fumble. 

LAST MEETING
The Devils defeated Albright College last year, by a score of 48-34. Current senior Khrystan Camillo totaled two touchdowns on 153 receiving yards and 10 catches.  

APPLYING THE PRESSURE 
Freshman Jafar Sannie recovered Outland's forced fumble in the second quarter. Williams returned his interception for 46-yards, which put the Devils offense into Mustangs territory.  

ALBRIGHT REPORT
The Lions are 0-3 on the campaign, including an 0-1 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference. The Lions have totaled seven passing touchdowns on the season while the defensive unit has recovered four fumbles. 

RECEIVING CORE
Four different Devils receivers registered a catch last time out. The group was headlined by Camillo, who had four receptions for 60 yards, and senior Damarquis Price hauled in five receptions.  

COMBINED EFFORT
Four different FDU players have recorded at least 20 tackles thus far on the season. Sophomore Jake Swindasz leads the charge with 28 tackles. Senior Dane Lupton was next, with 26, followed by Williams with 25, and senior Mihajlo Simakoski, who has 20. 

BEST OF THE ECAC
Junior quarterback Anthony Caserta and senior Nick Maciejewski received monthly ECAC Division III honors. Caserta was bestowed as Offensive Player of the Month, and Maciejewski earned Special Teams Player.
