WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (October 13, 2019) – The FDU men's tennis closed its fall season by competing during the second day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championship Sunday.

The Devils No. 1 doubles pairing of senior Rich Bennett and Jacob Mostoller, who won a pair of matches yesterday to advance to the semifinals, faced off against top-seeded Marc Feliu and Keegan Morris of Stevens. The FDU tandem was knocked off 8-3, as the Feliu and Morris would go on to win the Championship in the finals.

Freshman Zach Puccia, the No. 4 seed at the No. 3 singles flight, won two matches yesterday to qualify for the semifinals. He squared off against Mark Kanevsky of Stevens, who was the No. 1 seed in the flight. Puccia was topped 6-0, 6-1 by Kanevsky, who went on to claim the flight Championship by the identical score in the next round. 

Senior Chris Fiorenza, the No. 4 seed at the No. 6 singles flight, was defeated by Arjun Krishnan of Stevens 6-0, 6-1 in the semis. Krishnan, who was the No. 1 seed in the flight, won the Championship with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the next match.
