EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's lacrosse team breezed by Wilkes University, 13-1, in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom opener on Saturday afternoon at Schmidt Stadium.
The Devils move to 6-4 on the season and 1-0 in the MAC Freedom as the Colonels drop to 3-7 and 0-1 in the conference.
Junior

FDU-Florham poured on the pressure in the first half, leaving the break with a 10-0 lead.Â

Madison Wood contributed a goal, four ground balls and two caused turnovers and classmate

Cassidy Vastano added one a piece while Vastano recorded a dominating five assists.
Junior
Caroline Pape won four draw controls and sophomore defender
Eliana Reyes was a pivotal force with four ground balls.
The Devils earned the triumph after outshooting their opponent, 25-8, and picking up 22 ground balls to the Colonels' 12. FDU-Florham also flourished with 11-11 successful clears.
Up next, FDU will take on Manhattanville College on Wednesday, April 11 at 6 p.m. in Purchase, N.Y.
