GAME 1: Wilkes 8, FDU-Florham 5
After a scoreless first inning, Wilkes broke through with two runs in the second on a single to center by Tyler Walther. The Devils loaded the bases in the second, as seniors David Wilbur and Joseph Bonaccorso singled while freshman Joe Moskowitz walked. Freshman Matt Nodoro and junior Ian Havran each walked with the bags full, tying the game.

Senior Garrett Ruoff continued the inning with a sacrifice fly that was dropped, allowing the bases to stay loaded. Senior Reynaldo Diaz had the big blow, a two-run double to left center that reached the wall.

The Colonels responded with two runs in the third off of senior Kenny Carrier before knotting the game at five with an unearned tally in the fourth. Carrier escaped further damage in the fourth by inducing a 4-3 double play.

The Devils, who had just one hit through the first 3 1/3 frames, chipped away in the home fourth. With a 1-0 count, Franco homered to left field, barely clearing the arm of the jumping left fielder.

Havran had a six pitch at bat that resulted in a lead off walk and moved to third on a wild pitch and groundout. Diaz grounded out to third which allowed Havran to score.
