Week 9 Football Preview

MILITARY FAMILY APPRECIATION DAY FLYER

MADISON, N.J. (November 1, 2018)
- The FDU-Florham football team is back in action on Friday night, hosting Widener University Friday evening.

GAME INFO
Kickoff between the Pride and the Devils is scheduled for 7 p.m.

WELCOME MILITARY
For the second straight year, FDU will be holding Military Family Appreciation Night. Any military (active or retired) and their families will be admitted free of charge.

TICKET INFO
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, children over 12 and visiting students, and free for FDU students/faculty/staff with a valid ID.

LAST TIME OUT
The Devils notched a 24-23 come from behind win over Lebanon Valley on Homecoming. It was the first win over the Dutchmen in 13 tries.

WIDENER REPORT
The Pride enter Friday night on the heels of a 51-0 shutout over Alvernia last week. The team is 4-4 overall, including 4-2 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference.

ONE LAST HURRAH
Friday will be the last regular season game for the 10 seniors: George DiBiase, Jagger Green, Raj Gulati, Darren Jenkins, Joe McCain, Eddie Palmadessa, Mike Panzarino, Robert Panter, Isaiah Turner and Ryan Wilson. The team will also honor Imanie Jones-Lott, Kayla Labrana, Lisa Pietrafesa, Jessica Zambrana and Angelina Zuzuro as cheerleaders.

MAGIC MAN WINS IT!
Junior Nick Maciejewski hasn't attempted many field goals, but made his second kick of the season count. With 3:20 left in the fourth quarter, Maciejewski hit a 28-yard field goal in the swirling winds to give the Devils the one point lead.

DOUBLY SPECIAL
Maciejewski became the second Devils player in as many weeks to win MAC Special Teams Player of the Week. Last week, classmate Josh Rainey claimed the honor.

DE-FENSE
The Devils defensive unit had a standout game, limiting LVC to just 59 yards passing and 89 yards rushing. The core also notched an interception to go along with two sacks.

BIG PLAY
Junior Stewart Saharic made one of the biggest plays of the game, recording a 16 yard sack on a 4th and 5 from the FDU 33 yard line. The Devils would take over near midfield and kick the game-winning field goal on the ensuing drive.
