Box Score BETHLEHEM, Pa. (October 3, 2018) - The FDU-Florham men's tennis team was edged 5-4 by Moravian Wednesday.

The Devils even their record at 1-1 with the setback.

At first doubles, senior Rich Bennett and junior Kevin Weller won in a close match 8-6 with both sides breaking serves until the end the match ended with a clutch backhand winner down the line, as Moravian took second double with an 8-2 victory. The third doubles pairing of freshman John Bricker and junior Brendon Urbano was down 7-4 and was able to get it back to 7-6 but eventually fell after Moravian took control of the net and closed it out.

Weller lost the first set 6-2 but then rallied to win 11 straight games to win the match 2-6, 6-1, 6-0. At third singles freshman J.T Murray had a long match but lost 6-2 6-2 but, Bricker dominated his opponent with his ground stokes. winning 6-1 6-1 at No. 4 singles. 5th singles was the match of the day with a win from freshman Michael LaNeve with 6-2 4-6 14-12. LaNeve won by keeping the rallies long and forcing his opponent into uncomfortable positions.
