YORK, Pa. (September 23, 2017) - A day after defeating St. Vincent in five sets, the FDU volleyball team knocked off Bethany and LaRoche in five set thrillers.
The Devils win streak hit seven straight, and they are now 11-3 on the season.
FDU-Florham 3, Bethany 2, (17-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 15-13)
The teams traded the opening three sets, with Bethany grabbing a 2-1 lead. FDU rebounded, picking up wins over the final two frames to squeak out the victory. The difference was the fifth set, as the Devils, who were outhit .316-.256 in the match, hit a blistering .562 with no errors. Bethany committed three errors which proved to be the difference.

Melissa Gaffney each notched double-doubles. Harris had a match-high 20 kills and 17 digs, while Gaffney had 13 kills and 12 digs. The Devils racked uo 11 total blocks and seven aces in the match.
