Women's Basketball Rolls Past Valiants, 68-48

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Freshman Kendrea Williams netted four from behind the arc and senior Rachel Groom notched a double-double to lead the Fairleigh Dickinson University women's basketball team past Manhattanville College, 68-48, on Tuesday night in Middle Atlantic Conference action.

The Devils continue their dominance, moving to 21-3 on the season as the Valiants dropped to 9-15.

Williams finished the night with a game-high and career-high 32 points, following a 31-point performance on Saturday against Delaware Valley. Groom made a difference with 11 points and 12 rebounds alongside two steals and one block, while classmate Alyssa McDonough contributed 12 points, nine assists and four steals.

The Devils came out strong and never looked back, leaving the half up by 29 points with a 43-14 lead.

Sophomore Raven Dowling was a playmaker on the court, garnering five assists and grabbing three steals.

FDU-Florham pounced in the first half, enjoying a 53.33 shooting percentage to the Valiants' 28.00 percent.

Manhattanville's effort was led by Kayleah McGuire who posted a team-high 25 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double to go along with three assists and a block.

The Devils will close out their regular season at home against King's College (Pa.) on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. in the Ferguson Recreation Center.
