MADISON, N.J. -- Despite going on two separate 7-0 runs to get within four points, the Fairleigh Dickinson University men's basketball team suffered a 74-59 loss to Middle Atlantic Conference foe Wilkes University on Wednesday night in the Ferguson Recreation Center.
The Devils dropped to 6-14 as the Colonels improved to 10-10.
Sophomore guard
Anthony Mitchell led the FDU-Florham with 20 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals.
A dunk by senior
Donte Ali with 13:34 to go shifted the momentum to the Devils who scored seven consecutive points to cut Wilkes' lead, 44-40. Ali finshed the night with a double-double including 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Still the Colonels' Connor Evans dominated the court all night long, going 6-for-10 and collecting 21 points and three steals in the night to complete the defeat.
The Devils return to action next on Saturday, Feb. 4 to take on DeSales University.
