DEVILS RECAP
The Devils knocked off Wilkes 49-31 last Saturday at Robert T. Shields Field. Sophomore
Jagger Green tossed six touchdown passes in the victory.
RECORD BREAKER
Senior Malik Pressley became the all-time leader in touchdown receptions, as his second quarter TD catch passed Vic Moncato's previous record of 30. Pressley had three scores in the game, and earlier this season he broke Moncato's career-mark in receptions.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior
Mike Panzarino had quite the day Saturday, totaling four touchdowns. He threw a 72 yard touchdown to sophomore
Steve Iannone, and also caught three scores. The junior had receiving touchdowns of 63, 15, and 91 yards; his second 90+ yard touchdown of the year. For his efforts, he was named MAC Freedom Player of the Week.
DEFENSE STAND UP
The FDU defense shined in the game despite giving up the 31 points. Juniors
Robert Planter and
Isaiah Turner each recorded two sacks, as the team had five total, while seniors
Ryan Wilson and
Michael Ferrante notched their first interceptions of the year.
MAGIC MAN
Sophomore
Nick Maciejewski is averaging 38.2 yards per punt this season, and is a perfect 19-of-19 on extra point attempts.
