ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham women's soccer team fell to Bard College in a close 1-0 contest at Ferrari Field on Saturday, Sept. 17.

A Raptor goal 20 minutes into the second half was the sole difference in the match, as neither team took full control of the game. 

The Devils (3-3-2) and Raptors (4-2) were dead even in shots in both halfs,  with 11 each in total. However, Bard College was able to put nine shots on target to FDU-Florham's six.

Bard's breakthrough came in the 66th minute when sophomore defender Casey Witte received the ball at the top of the box and and placed it neatly in the top left quarter of the Devils' net.

Senior goalie Annie George stood tall for the Devils, saving eight shots over the course of the 90 minutes. 

Fellow senior Brittni Calleo pushed FDU-Florham forward, leading the squad with four shots and three on target, but wasn't able to capitalize. 

FDU-Florham is back in action on Wednesday as they head to Ewing, N.J. to face The College of New Jersey at 7:30 p.m.
