Men's Tennis Sweeps Sunday Tri-Match

MADISON, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham men's tennis team coasted to a pair of wins over The New School University and Berkeley College at the Florham Campus Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon.

The Devils blanked NSU 9-0 before rolling to an 8-1 victory over the Knights in the second meeting this week between the two teams.

With the two-match sweep, the Devils improved to 10-9 on the season, while The New School dropped to 3-1 and the Knights fell to 2-6 on the campaign.

In the opening match of the day, Max Moscowitz and Steven Serras teamed up for an 8-2 victory over The New School's Michael Drummonds and Michael Klunder in first doubles. Chris Ly and Ryan O'Keefe followed with a tightly-contested 8-6 win in second doubles.

FDU-Florham cruised in singles with the most closely contested match occurring in the second flight between Dubinsky and Klunder. The sophomore Dubinsky dug deep to pull out the win and was able to edge Klunder 8-6 in a tiebreaker.

In the second match between the Devils and Knights this week, FDU-Florham prevailed again and swept all six singles' flights.

The Knights' lone win of the match came in first doubles as Victor Marotta and Kuzuke Suzuki topped Dubinsky and Serras 9-7.

The Devils responded with a pair of 8-1 victories by Moscowitz/O'Keefe and Bobby Davison/Jonathan Ford in second and third doubles, respectively.

FDU-Florham is back in action when they host Rutgers-Newark this Tuesday, April 26 at 4 p.m.
