Reasoner Records Career Goal No. 100 as Devils Rout Valiants 15-6

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Junior midfielder Brienna Reasoner netted career goal number 100 as the Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham women's lacrosse team rolled to 15-6 conference victory over Manhattanville College at GoValiants.com Field on Wednesday evening.

Reasoner added to her team-leading 25 goals by tallying two scores in the contest as the Devils (6-6, 2-0 MAC Freedom) won their third game in a row.

The Devils featured a balanced attack in the victory as six players scored two goals, while three others chipped in one apiece.
After Manhattanville's (5-6, 0-2 MAC Freedom) Kat Reilly netted the game's first goal, the Devils quickly responded with the next two scores and never trailed again.

Joelle Manganella, who also recently recorded her 100th career goal, answered Reilly's strike just over a minute later by burying an assist from Brianna Capobianco.  Then, at the 24:32 mark, Brittni Calleo finished an unassisted goal for her first of two scores on the night.

Reilly briefly tied the game soon after before the Devils rattled off eight unanswered goals, which broke the game wide open and gave FDU-Florham a 10-2 lead.

Calleo opened the eight-goal barrage, which saw Frances Maggio score twice and assist on another.  Maggio's helper came just 22 seconds shy of halftime, when she found Reasoner for the Devils' 10th goal of the half.

Reasoner tallied the benchmark goal with the first score of the second half as the Devils stretched their cushion to 13-3. In addition to her two scores, the junior midfielder added five draw controls to her ledger in the win.

FDU-Florham remained in control for the duration of the stanza en route to the one-sided victory. The Devils doubled up the Valiants in shot attempts, 40-17, and forced the home team to commit 28 turnovers on the night.

Calleo and junior defender Kelsey Ryan led the spirited defensive effort by each causing three turnovers.

FDU-Florham returns to action with a non-conference match this Saturday, April 16 at Alvernia University. First draw control is set for 1 p.m. in Reading, Pa.
