WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (October 29, 2016) – The FDU-Florham men's soccer team fell to King's College 4-0 Saturday.
The Devils fall to 6-8-3 overall and 4-3-0 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom.
The first shot of the evening found the back of the net for King's just 3:14 in, as Aidan DeCamillo one-timed a ball into the upper middle of the net from in close. FDU didn't get their first shot until the 21:08 mark, as
Dylan Meyler had an attempt saved. With 1:18 left in the period, Philiip Kistner of the Monarchs nailed a bicycle kick to double the advantage.
A pair of shots by the Devils went wide to open the second stanza, but JT Bretscheider helped keep FDU in the game by
making a pair of saves. The Devils sent attackers forward trying to find a goal, but the Monarchs added two goals in the final 10 minutes to conclude the 4-0 contest.
FDU was out-shot 12-9, and were out-cornered 6=3 during the match.
