READING, Pa. -- The FDU-Florham football team suffered a tough, 7-59, loss to Albright College on Saturday afternoon in conference play at Shirk Stadium.
The Devils couldn't break through the Lions tight defense while Albright showed no mercy, dominating with 14 points in the first quarter, 21 in the second and 24 in the third.
It was FDU-Florham who won the fourth quarter though, scoring their lone touchdown of the game as sophomore wide receiver
Darnell Golson caught a 17-yard from sophomore quarterback
Joey McCain and freshman kicker
Nick Maciejewski connected for the extra point.
While the Lions snapped the Devils' two-game winning streak, sophomore linebacker
Isaiah Turner played an exceptional on defense with 11 tackles, one sack and 1.5 sacks for loss in the day.
Starting sophomore quarterback
Jagger Green went 21-of-39 for 159 yards. The Devils' rushing game was led by sophomore
Robert Madison who gained 47 yards in the contest.
On the receiving end, it was freshman
John Pellegrini who hauled in four catches for 67 yards while senior wide receiver
Esaun Mobley grabbed four for 43 yards. Sophomore wide receiver
Michael Panzarino added six catches for 33 yards in the setback.
Up next, the Devils will look to rebound at Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. against King's College (Pa.) at Robert T. Shields Field.
