NORFOLK, Va. -- The FDU-Florham volleyball team wrapped up their two-day tilt at the Virginia Wesleyan College Tournament by earning a split on Saturday. The Devils (2-2) fell to Randolph-Macon College 3-0 (13-25, 14-25, 12-25) before rebounding in the nightcap and downing the host Marlins 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 17-25, 25-21).
In the win over Virginia Wesleyan (2-3), the Devils were led by sophomore
Melissa Gaffney and freshman
Lauren Harris who totaled 13 and 11 kills respectively in the four-set match.
Freshman
Kristi Wong handed out a career-high 32 assists and totaled 12 digs, while junior libero
Alex Mueller dug a team-high 25 balls in the victory.
The Devils are back on the road in their next contest when they head to Newburgh, N.Y. to take on Mount St. Mary College this Wednesday, September 9 at 7 p.m.
