NORFOLK, Va. -- The FDU-Florham volleyball team kicked off their 2015 campaign on Friday night at the Virginia Wesleyan Tournament and swept Rivier College 3-0 before dropping a 3-0 match to Wartburg College in their second match of the day.
The Devils (1-1) topped Rivier 25-22, 25-19, and 25-13 and featured a balanced attack in the victory. Making their collegiate debuts,
Lauren Harris and
Sarah Hof paced the Devils' attack with eight kills apiece, while fellow first-year
Kristi Wong and sophomore
Melissa Gaffney each added seven putaways in the win. In addition to her seven kills, Wong also led the Devils with 16 assists to earn a double-double in her first match with the team.
Sophomore
Codi Inloes-Williams handed out 14 assists and served up three aces in the contest.

Two more matches await the Devils tomorrow as they close out the weekend tournament against Randolph Macon College at noon and host Virginia Wesleyan College at 2 p.m.
