READING, Pa. – The FDU-Florham women's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by the Albright College Lions on Tuesday night in Reading, Pa.

Junior goalkeeper Annie George kept the Lions' (4-4-2) offense at bay for majority of the contest, but the Lions eventually broke through the Devils' (5-5) defense late in the second half and scored two goals.George finished the game with five saves.

The Lions took aim and sent three shots towards the Devils' goal, but George sent them all away. However, in the 73rd minute of play, Kennedy Lutz managed to send a shot past George for the first score of the game to give Albright the 1-0 advantage.

In the 81st minute, the Lions added an insurance goal when Emily Sousa found the back of the net.

The second half played out in favor of the Lions as they were able to find themselves in several scoring opportunities. The Lions managed to outshoot the Devils 14-4 in the game.  

The Devils will open up MAC Freedom play on Friday, October 2 at 5 p.m. when they take on the Wilkes University Colonels in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
