MADISON, N.J. -- The FDU-Florham men's tennis claimed No. 1 and No. 2 singles but ultimately fell short in its season opener 5-4 to Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon.
Max Moscowitz took first singles 6-4, 6-2, while freshman
Rich Bennett kicked off his collegiate career with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Lycoming's
Joe Amento in second singles but the Warriors went on to claim the next four flights. Bennett and Moscowitz also teamed up for a win in No. 1 doubles 8-6.
After each dropping their respective singles matches,
Jason Dubinsky and
Steven Serras came out on top in their No. 2 doubles match with an 8-6 victory over
Rob Smith and
Zackary Collevecchio.FDU-Florham returns to action this Thursday, October 2 when they host Arcadia University at 2 p.m.
