BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The FDU-Florham men's tennis team topped Brooklyn College 6-3 at the Roosevelt Courts on Sunday afternoon.
The Devils (4-6, 2-1 Freedom) claimed four singles matches and two doubles in the win.
Chris Ly (Staten Island, N.Y.) and
Max Moscowitz (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) kicked off the afternoon with an 8-2 win in first doubles. In second singles Moscowitz won 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) and Ly topped his opponent 6-1, 6-4 in fourth singles.
Following Ly and Moscowitz in doubles action was the duo of
Mitch Gettis (Reading, Pa.) and
Jason Dubinsky (Melville, N.Y.). The tandem cruised to an 8-1 victory over Brooklyn's
Trevaughn Daley and
Andrew Mendelsohn. In addition, Gettis won in first singles 6-4, 6-3 before Dubinsky won fifth singles 6-2, 7-5.
The Devils return to action this Thursday, April 16 when they host Purchase College at 3:30 p.m.
