ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Behind 22 points from junior guard Alyssa McDonough, the No. 9 FDU-Florham women's basketball team rolled to a 103-42 victory over Medgar Evers College at the Rinso Marquette Tournament on Saturday evening.

The Devils (4-0) blew open the game by outscoring the Cougars (0-2) 36-12 in the first quarter, en route to the lopsided win.

With the victory, the Devils advance to take on host Lebanon Valley College tomorrow at 3 p.m. The Dutchmen (2-1) topped Shenandoah University 70-51 earlier on Saturday to reach the two-day tournament's final.

McDonough paced the Devils' attack in incredibly efficient fashion. The third-year guard only missed twice in an 8-for-10 performance, including a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the arc. McDonough's 22 points, five rebounds and five steals all came in just 20 minutes of action.

The Devils etched the first 12 points of the game, highlighted by a McDonough trey and a pair of crafty layups by Shalette Brown and Rachel Groom. Four of McDonough's 3-pointers came in the opening frame as the Devils staked a 24-point first quarter lead.

Once again the team's defense was at the forefront as the ninth-ranked squad limited the Cougars to just nine points in each of the next two quarters, while stretching the lead to 56 points at 86-30. The team's defensive tenacity resulted in 33 turnovers by the Cougars.

In addition, the Devils dominated on the glass, outrebounding their opponent 53-34, including 22-14 on the offensive side. Freshman forward Jhade Aird contributed to the rebounding effort with a team-high 14 boards on the night.

Brown joined McDonough in double figures with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Groom and Danielle Leguillou chipped in 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Danyelle Foster led the way for the Cougars with 18 points and a game-high 17 rebounds in the loss.

The Devils and host Dutchmen will square off tomorrow for just the second time ever. The Dutchmen prevailed with an 81-72 victory back in 2012. That matchup also took place at Lebanon Valley's Rinso Marquette Tournament.
