WILKES BARRE, Pa. – The FDU-Florham men's tennis team was knocked out of the Freedom Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon, falling 5-0 to King's College at Kirby Park.

With the loss, the Devils finish a successful season at 8-6, while the Monarchs improve to 13-4 on the season.

The Devils were unable to earn a victory and started off by dropping all three doubles matches. The Monarches needed two wins to seal the victory and George Parkhurst knocked off Devils first singles player Mitch Gettis (Reading, Pa./Exeter) 6-2, 6-3. In the number-four flight, King's Jake Rohring defeated Ryan Kearns (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) to seal the win for the Monarchs.

This is the third-straight year that King's will face Wilkes University for the Freedom Conference crown with the Monarchs looking to defend their title.
