MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham tennis teams each dropped a match to Madison Avenue rival Drew University on Wednesday afternoon.
The men's team fell 6-3, while the women's team dropped their contest 7-2.
In the loss, FDU-Florham senior
Kevin Kotsak (South Amboy, N.J./South Amboy) won his 50
th career match. He is the first Devil to accomplish this milestone since 2008. Kotsak won his match in straight-sets 6-1, 6-1.
Ryan Kearns (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) and
Ryan Hurdes (Succasunna, N.J./CCM) each won their singles matches, however, the Devils dropped all three doubles contests.
On the women's side, FDU-Florham seniors
Megan Scherer (Bronx, N.Y./Preston) and
Jenna Cowie (Longmont,Colo./Longmont)were victorious in their singles contests but unfortunately the Devils were unable to claim another match.
