Devils Volleyball Cruises to 3-0 Sweep of Aggies

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- The FDU-Florham volleyball team rolled in straight-sets 25-16, 25-18, 25-23 against Delaware Valley College to earn a Freedom Conference victory on Tuesday night at James Work Gymnasium.

The Devils (16-17, 3-3 Freedom) have now won back-to-back matches, while the Aggies (4-18, 0-5 Freedom) have dropped six of their last seven contests.

In the victory, freshman Melissa Gaffney (League City, Texas) narrowly missed a double-double by posting a match-high 18 kills and nine digs, while FDU-Florham setter Codi Inloes-Williams (Palmer Lake, Colo.) dished out 30 assists.

FDU-Florham was locked in through the first set and posted a .412 team attack percentage. The Devils were red hot totaling 15 kills with only one attack error. That trend continued in set number two as the Devils recorded 10 put-aways and two attack errors.

In addition to Gaffney's work, Natalie Knudsen (Chester, N.J.) and DeAnna D'Amico (Totowa, N.J.) recorded six kills apiece. FDU-Florham's libero Rachel Catena (Flemington, N.J.) played a stellar back row with 20 digs on the night.

In the loss, Delaware Valley's Maria Cameron notched a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs.
