Box Score Madison, N.J. – After dropping the first set, the Devils volleyball team found their stride, winning the next three and defeating the Misericordia Cougars 3-1 at Ferguson Recreational Center on Tuesday night. 

Leading the way for FDU (9-10) with a match-high 22 kills was Helena Riede (Haworth, NJ/Northern Valley Demarest). Riede was on fire all night, accumulating a .373 attack percentage, her second highest of the season.

The Devils fought hard in the opening set, but ultimately fell 25-23. The team rebounded by taking the second set 25-18 and claimed the third set 25-12.  The Devils closed out the match in a tightly contested fourth set, 25-23.

FDU junior setter Riley Brewer (La Mesa, CA/Helix) notched 36 assists in the victory, setting the Devils up for a total of 47 kills.

Next up for the Devils:
FDU heads to York, PA for the York Invitational Tournament this weekend, with first serve slated for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
