MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Misericordia, 8-1, in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-8 (1-0 Freedom) while the Cougars dropped to 1-10 (0-1 Freedom).
Junior
AJ Warden led the way by winning at second singles (6-0, 6-0) while combining with junior
Ryan Kearns to win at first doubles (8-4). Sophomore
Mitch Gettis took first singles (6-3, 6-2), junior
Kevin Kotsak won at third singles (6-0, 6-1) and teamed with junior
Ryan Hurdes to win at second doubles (8-2) while Hurdes also won at fifth singles (6-0, 6-0). Junior
Nasar Mannan took sixth singles (6-0, 6-0) and teamed with senior
Nate Pike to win at third doubles (8-1).
The Devils return to action on Wednesay, April 10, 2013, at home against Wilkes beginning at 3:30 pm.
