Box Score ST. DAVIDS,Pa. -- Deadlocked at zero in the 67th minute, Eastern University's Benjamin Barnhart found Eric Giovagnoli for the game's decisive goal to help the Eagles clinch the top seed in the Freedom Conference playoffs.

With the win, the Eagles improved to 14-3-1 and 5-1-1 in the conference.  The Devils fall to 10-7-1 and 4-3 in the conference but secured the fourth seed in this week's upcoming tournament.  The two teams will face off again on Wednesday in the Freedom Conference semi-finals.

The Devils managed just three shot attempts, none of which were on goal. Giovagnoli's 12^th goal of the season was the lone score in the game. Senior Ryan Hurdes (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury)  was held in check by the Eastern defense and was limited to only two shot attempts.

FDU-Florham goalkeeper Nick Mihalik (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) registered two saves in net and kept the Devils within striking distance for the duration of the game.
