Box Score MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Misericordia, 71-57, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  Matt Greene and Cael Evans each had 19 points while Steve Ware added 18 points for the Cougars.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 8-10 (4-4 Freedom) while the Cougars improved to 10-9 (6-2 Freedom).

The game was tied at 8-8 with three minutes gone by in the first half when FDU ripped off a 14-4 run to grab a 22-12 lead thanks to six points from senior guard Mike Williamson.  The Cougars came right back though and cut it to two, 22-20, with 10:43 to go but FDU built their lead back up to nine, 31-22, with 6:13 remaining.  Misericordia then took control, ending the half with a 15-3 run to take a 37-34 lead into the locker room.

Misericordia opened up an eight-point lead to begin the second half, 49-41, but the Devils cut it to five, 51-46, after a three-pointer by junior guard Trevor Sykes with 10:54 to go.  The Cougars then put the pedal down and put the game out of reach with a 20-7 run over the next nine minutes to grab a 71-53 advantage with 1:49 left.

Sykes finished the game with 19 points while senior forward Derek Hall added 11 points and six rebounds.  Junior forward Will Green chipped in 10 points and six boards while junior forward Matt Argudo notched eight points and seven rebounds off the bench.

The Devils return to action on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Rosemont beginning at 7 pm.
