Mike Williamson poured in 20 points off the bench to help lead the College at Florham Devils to an 89-76 win over Hunter in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 4-7 while the Hawks dropped to 4-8.
FDU got off to exactly the start the were looking for, opening up a 21-4 advantage with 12:37 to go in the first half. Sykes had nine points during the run while Hall added six points. Hunter cut their deficit to 32-22 with 6:14 remaining before the Devils got their lead back up to 17, 39-22, with 4:07 to go. The Hawks made a push to end the half though, going on a 12-2 run to make it 41-34 before Hall scored a layup to make it 43-34 heading into intermission.
The Hawks pulled to within four, 45-41, to begin the second stanza but the Devils responded with a 10-2 run to take a 55-43 lead with 14:52 to go. The lead was still 12, 63-51, three minutes later when Hunter reeled off a quick 7-0 run to make it 63-58 with 9:31 to play. That's as close as FDU would let them get though, as the Devils went on a 23-11 run over the next eight minutes to take an 86-69 lead on their way to the 89-76 victory.

Nick Acito tallied 10 points, five assists and five steals while sophomore guard
Kevin Furlong notched five points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals. Junior forward
Will Green had eight points and nine boards.
The Devils return to action on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the College of New Jersey beginning at 7 pm.
