Box Score MADISON, NJ - With the College at Florham Devils leading by a score of 47-30 with 6:17 to go in the game, Eastern went on a 15-3 run to cut it to 50-45 with 0:41 remaining but FDU made their free throws down the stretch to earn a 56-47 victory in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the win, the Devils improved to 15-1 (5-0 Freedom) while the Eagles dropped to 6-10 (2-3 Freedom).

FDU jumped out to a 15-4 lead with 11:50 left in the first half but Eastern cut it to 18-11 with 5:11 to go.  The Devils got their lead right back up to 11, 22-11, with 1:47 remaining and kept their 11-point margin, 29-18, heading into intermission.

The Devils increased their advantage to 17, 37-20, halfway through the second half but Eastern cut it to 10, 39-29, with 8:41 to go.  FDU built it back up to 17, 47-30, at the 6:17 mark but that's when the Eagles made one final push to get back in the game.  Eastern reeled off a 15-3 run to pull to within 50-45 with 0:41 to play but FDU went 6-for-6 at the foul line in the last minute to pick up the win.

Freshman center Rachel Groom finished the game with 14 points and seven rebounds while sophomore guard Kyra Dayon tallied 12 points.  Sophomore guard Kara Dayon notched six points, 10 rebounds and three steals.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at home against Wilkes beginning at 1 pm.
