MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils will hit the road for the second consecutive week on Saturday, September 29, 2012, as they travel to play Wilkes University in Middle Atlantic Conference action beginning at 1 pm. The Devils enter with a record of 1-2 (1-1 MAC) while the Colonels are 1-2 (0-2 MAC).
Each team struggled last weekend as the Devils lost to Delaware Valley by a score of 63-3 while the Colonels fell to Widener by a count of 90-0. Senior kicker
Travis Mullen booted a 24-yard field goal for FDU to account for the only points by either squad.
Last season, FDU was defeated by Wilkes on Homecoming by a score of 45-25. In the game, Mullen connected on a 30-yard field goal attempt while junior wide receiver
Anthony Fruncillo hauled in a nine-yard touchdown pass. Defensively, senior safety
Joe Mancini made 13 tackles while senior linebacker
Charlie Thomas added 12 stops. For Wilkes,
Alex George went 11-of-15 for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Overall, FDU is 2-27 against Wilkes with the last win coming in a 23-6 triumph in 1985.
