MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils go on the road for the first time in 2012 as they travel to face Delaware Valley on Saturday, September 22, 2012, beginning at 1 pm. FDU enters with a record of 1-1 (1-0 MAC) while the Aggies are 1-2 (1-1 MAC).
FDU picked up their first win of the season last Friday evening, beating King's by a score of 30-14. Junior quarterback
Mike Santos went 22-of-30 for 257 yards and two touchdowns while junior wide receiver
Anthony Fruncillo caught eight passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. Fruncillo also lined up as the quarterback on wildcat plays and ran five times for 32 yards. In his first game of the season, senior running back
Jon Bennett carried 11 times for 114 with two scores. His two touchdowns came on his first two attempts of the game. Defensively, junior linebacker
Mike Mancino had a game-high 13 tackles while senior safety
Joe Mancini added 10 tackles.
Delware Valley beat Stevenson, 34-10, last Saturday to pick up their first win of 2012 after falling to Rowan and Lycoming in their first two games.
Kyle Schuberth scored two touchdowns on the ground while also hauling in a seven-yard touchdown reception.
Aaron Wilmer threw for 212 yards and three scores.
Last season, the Aggies knocked off the Devils by a score of 50-7 in Madison. Schuberth ran for three touchdowns in the victory while Mancino had 10 tackles for FDU on defense. Senior linebacker
Charlie Thomas finished with nine stops and a half sack.
Overall, FDU is 6-21 All-Time against Delaware Valley with their last victory being a 19-14 triumph over the nationally-ranked Aggies at home in 2008.
