Lanie Andrews tallied two goals and two assists to help the College at Florham Devils to a 4-2 victory over Richard Stockton on Saturday evening. The Devils scored three goals in the first half to grab a 3-1 lead on their way to the 4-2 win.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-0 on the season.
Andrews got things going with 8:06 gone by in the first half when she converted a feed from senior midfielder
Kelsey Kistle but Stockton responded just 1:30 later to tie the score at 1-1. With 14:32 to go in the half, Andrews found sophomore forward
Gabby D'Amico for a goal to give FDU a 2-1 lead before Andrews scored on another pass from Kistle with just 1:42 remaining before intermission.
FDU took a commanding 4-1 at the 51:03 mark when freshman forward
Alicia Grotyohann knocked home a pass from Andrews. Stockton cut it to 4-2 with 1:52 left in the contest but the Devils already had the win sealed by that point.
Junior goalkeeper
Tess Loughran played the first 52:22 of the game and picked up the win, allowing one goal while making eight saves.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 8, 2012, for their home opener against TCNJ beginning at 1 pm.
