Box Score HOBOKEN, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Stevens, 3-2, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 4-3.
Stevens got on the board first, with only 2:38 gone by in the game, before FDU tied at 1-1 just six minutes later when junior forward
Lanie Andrews banged one home. Then it was the Ducks turn to respond, as they took a 2-1 lead at the 13:30 mark. The game remained 2-1 in favor of Stevens through the remainder of the first half, but the Ducks then grabbed a 3-1 advantage with 8:29 elapsed in the second half. Kelsey Kistle converted a pass from Andrews, but that was as close as the Devils would get as Stevens hung on for the win.
Statistically, FDU dominated the game as the Devils held a 19-9 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in penalty corners. Senior goalkeeper
Tess Loughran suffered the loss, making three saves.
The Devils return to action on Friday, September 21, 2012, for their Freedom Conference opener at home against DeSales beginning at 7 pm.
