Lanie Andrews recorded two goals and an assist to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 4-2 win over William Paterson in the season opener for both teams on Friday evening.
With the win, the Devils now stand at 1-0.
Andrews got the scoring started 13:02 into the game but that was all the scoring in the first half as the Devils to their 1-0 lead into intermission. Andrews helped the Devils make it 2-0 with 4:22 gone by in the second half when she assisted on a goal by senior forward
Leanna Grotyohann off of a penalty corner. The Pioneers cut it to 2-1 at the 47:41 mark but FDU got that goal right back nine minutes later when Andrews converted a feed from sophomore forward
Rebecca Bruns. The Devils tacked on an insurance goal when freshman forward
Stephanie Geskes tallied just 1:30 later. William Paterson got one final goal with 2:03 left in the game but it was too little, too late as the Devils earned the win.
