Breana Kilpatrick scored eight goals to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 16-13 win over King's in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The win secured the top seed in the upcoming Freedom Conference Tournament for the Devils.
With the win, FDU improved to 11-6 (6-0 Freedom) while the Monarchs dropped to 10-7 (4-2 Freedom).
Trailing 2-1 with 3:04 gone by in the contest Kilpatrick scored three of the next four goals to give the Devils a 4-3 lead with 19:41 left in the first half. After King's tied it at 4-4 two minutes later, the Devils ripped off five of the next six goals to grab a 9-5 advantage with 1:18 to go. Kilpatrick scored three of the four goals in the run. The Monarchs trimmed their deficit to 9-6 entering halftime as they score with 0:58 remaining.
King's came out hot to start the second half, scoring four of the first six goals to pull within one, 11-10, with 20:35 left in the game. FDU came right back though, reeling off five of the next six to grab a 16-11 lead with 6:30 remaining. Kilpatrick and junior midfielder
Katie Rolwood each scored two goals inthe spurt. The Monarchs scored the final two goals of the contest but it was too little, too late as the Devils hung on for the win.
Aside from Kilpatrick's monster effort, Rolwood finished the game with four goals and two assists while freshman midfielder
Courtney Rendinaro added a goal and three assists. Freshman defender

Sara Slicklen notched a goal and an assist. Freshman goalkeeper
Grace Warburton picked up the win, making nine saves.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the Semifinals of the Freedom Conference Tournament at home against fourth-seeded Manhattanville beginning at 7 pm.
