MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Eastern, 8-1, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The win secures a spot for FDU in the upcoming Freedom Conference Tournament.

With the win, the Devils improved to 6-9 (2-2 Freedom).

Freshman Mitch Gettis led the way for FDU, winning at second singles (6-2, 6-0) while combining with sophomore Ryan Kearns to win at first doubles (8-5).  Kearns also won at third singles (6-4, 6-0).  Sophomore Kevin Kotsak took fourth singles (6-2, 6-3) and combined with sophomore AJ Warden to win at second doubles (8-5).  Senior Andrew Scamporino won at fifth singles (7-5, 6-4) and teamed with sophomore Nasar Mannan to win at third doubles (9-7).  Mannan also won at sixth singles (6-3, 6-3).

The Devils return to action on Monday, April 23, 2012, at home against Mount Saint Mary beginning at 3 pm.
