Box Score MADISON, NJ - Despite four goals from senior midfielder
Breana Kilpatrick, the College at Florham Devils were defeated by Drew, 11-10, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 3-5.
FDU started strong, scoring the first two goals of the game when Kilpatrick and freshman midfielder
Courtney Rendinaro found the back of the cage. Drew came right back though, scoring the next four goals to grab a 4-2 lead with 16:04 left in the first half. The two squads then traded two goals apiece and the Rangers held a 6-4 edge with 9:31 to play. With 3:50 remaining, junior attack
Nicole Peotter cut the deficit to 6-5 and Kilpatrick tied it at 6-6 with 2:44 to go. Rendinaro gave the Devils a 7-6 halftime lead when she converted a free position shot with 0:07 left.
The Rangers began the second half by scoring three of the first four goals to take a 9-8 lead with 21:33 left in the game. The Devils tied it at 9-9 with 16:38 remaining when Kilpatrick converted a feed from Rendinaro. Drew came right back though, scoring the next two goals to open up an 11-9 advantage with 10:44 to go. Kilpatrick scored her fourth goal of the game with 8:58 to go to make it 11-10 and the score stayed that way until the final minute. FDU then went on the attack in the last 0:30, getting off four shots on goals, two of which came on free position attempts, but Drew was up to the task and held on for the 11-10 victory.
Rendinaro finished the game with two goals and three assists while freshman attack
