Katie Rolwood tallied five goals and two assists to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 16-15 win over Alvernia in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 2-2.
FDU jumped out to a 1-0 lead with 1:09 gone by in the first half when junior attack
Ally Lerner found the back of the net. Alvernia scored the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead before junior attack

Breana Kilpatrick scored back-to-back goals to give the Devils a 3-2 lead with 21:30 left. After Alvernia took a 4-3 with 16:39 remaining, FDU scored four of the next five goals to grab a 7-5 lead with 8:38 to go. The Crusaders came right back though, scoring three in a row to take an 8-7 advantage with 4:42 to play. Freshman attack
Brittany Ribaudo and Rolwood put the Devils back on top, 9-8, with 3:06 left but Alvernia scored the final goal of the half to tie the game at 9-9 heading into intermission.
The Devils scored three of the first five goals to begin the second half, taking a 12-11 lead with 23:58 left in the contest. Alvernia then scored two in a row to go up, 13-12, with 20:29 remaining, but that's when the Devils made their move. Led by two goals from Rolwood, FDU scored the next four goals to take a 16-13 lead with 9:33 on the clock. The Crusaders scored with 9:04 to go and then again with 8:16 left to close to within 16-15 but the FDU defense rose up and blanked Alvernia the rest of the way to secure the victory.
Slicklen finished the game with three goals and two assists while Lerner also had three goals. Kilpatrick notched two goals and an assist while Ribaudo also posted two goals. Freshman goalkeeper
Patty Samms made 20 saves in goal to get the win.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in the Myrtle Beach Tournament against Montclair State beginning at 10 am.
