Box Score MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils shot 18-of-73 from the field (24.7%) but held Wilkes to 24.6% shooting while forcing 19 turnovers to pick up a 55-50 win in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 11-11 (5-6 Freedom) while the Colonels dropped to 6-16 (1-10 Freedom).
The Colonels jumped out to a 9-2 with 7:38 gone by in the first half before the Devils went on a 12-4 run to grab a 14-13 lead with 5:36 remaining. Wilkes bumped their lead back up to eight, 22-14, with 1:32 to go but senior center
Matil Mangual scored the final two buckets of the half to make the score 22-18 in favor of Wilkes heading into the locker rooms.
FDU came out ready to play to open the second half, going on an 18-7 run to grab a 36-29 advantage with 13:24 left in the contest. After Wilkes cut it to four, 37-33, the Devils went on a quick 7-1 run to take a 44-34 lead with 8:04 to go. Wilkes responded immediately though, ripping off a 13-4 run over the next 5:30 to pull to within one, 48-47, with 2:34 to play. That was as close as the Colonels would get though, as the Devils sank 7-of-12 free throws down the stretch to earn the five-point victory.

Kyra Dayon led the way with 14 points and nine rebounds while sophomore forward
Brianna Nicholls added 12 points and eight boards. Sophomore center
Melissa DeHaas chipped in with six points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at DeSales beginning at 1 pm.
