Box Score MADISON, NJ - Freshman forward Kyra Dayon tallied 19 points, 15 rebounds and five steals, junior guard Tasza Carter poured in 20 points and senior forward Matil Mangual added 11 points to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 66-57 win over Eastern in Freedom Conference action on Tuesday evening.

With the win, the Devils improved to 12-12 (6-7 Freedom) while the Eagles dropped to 17-7 (8-5 Freedom).  The win means the Devils are still alive for a berth in the ECAC Metro Region Tournament.

FDU jumped out to a 12-7 lead with 14:22 left in the first half but Eastern responded with a 15-4 run to grab a 22-16 lead with 4:42 remaining in the half.  The Devils came right back though, reeling off a 12-0 run to grab a 28-22 advantage with 0:09 to play thanks to nine points from Carter.  Eastern cut it to 28-24 at halftime thanks to a buzzer beating jumper in the lane.

After Eastern closed to within three, 41-38, with 12:39 to go in the contest, FDU ripped off a 12-4 run to take a 53-42 lead with 7:29 remaining.  The Eagles made one final push to pull to 53-48 with 4:48 to go but the Devils put the game away with an 11-4 run over the next four minutes to take a 64-52 lead with 0:39 left on their way to the 66-57 win.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Delaware Valley beginning at 1 pm.
