Box Score MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils had four players score in double figures, led by a game-high 18 points from sophomore forward
Kyra Dayon, to cruise to their fourth straight dominant victory, this time beating Valley Forge Christian by a score of 78-43.
With the win, the Devils improved to 7-1 while the Patriots dropped to 5-5.
FDU jumped out to a 17-4 lead with 10:49 left in the first half thanks to six points apiece from Dayon and sophomore guard
Leigh-Ann Lively. The Patriots responded with an 11-4 run to pull to within 21-15 with 5:00 to go but the Devils closed the half on a 12-5 run to take a 33-20 advantage into the locker room. Dayon had eight points to key the half-closing run.
The Devils opened up a a 44-23 lead with 3:23 gone by in the second half and after the Patriots cut it to 46-32 with 10:42 to go, FDU erupted for a 19-2 run over the next five minutes to take a 65-34 while effectively putting the game out of reach.
Aside from her 18 points, Dayon also tallied five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Lively added 17 points, six rebounds and three steals while junior guard
Jalessa Lewis notched 13 points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists. Freshman center
Rachel Groom recorded 10 points and seven points while sophomore forward
Delisha Thompson pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Devils return to action on Monday, December 10, 2012, at New Jersey City beginning at 6 pm.
