Box Score MADISON, NJ - Senior forward Derek Hall finished with 10 points and 15 rebounds, junior guard Trevor Sykes tallied 15 points, junior forward Will Green notched 11 points and eight boards, and sophomore guard Kevin Furlong chipped in 10 points off the bench to help the College at Florham Devils to their first victory of the season, a 59-56 triumph over King's in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Devils improved to 1-3 (1-1 Freedom) while the Monarchs dropped to 3-3 (1-1 Freedom).

After King's got out to a 5-0 lead, the Devils reeled off a 21-8 run to grab a 21-13 with 5:51 to go in the first half thanks to eight points from Furlong.  The Monarchs came right back though, closing the first half on a 10-4 run to pull to within 25-23 heading into intermission.

FDU started off the second half hot, as they went on a quick 14-6 run to take a 39-29 lead with 13:44 to go in the game.  King's got the game back under control and closed their deficit to two, 48-46, with 5:50 left in regulation.  The two squads went back-and-forth after that until the Devils had a five-point lead, 55-50, with 3:09 remaining after a three-pointer from Sykes.  King's responded however, and knocked down back-to-back three-pointers to grab a 56-55 advantage with 1:25 to play.  FDU didn't get down though, coming back down and getting two free throws from Green to go back on top by a count of 57-56 with 0:54 left.  After a missed three from King's, freshman guard Nick Acito nailed 1-of-2 from the line to increase the lead to 58-56 with 0:31 to go.  The Monarchs missed another three with 0:17 left and senior guard Mike Williamson hit 1-of-2 from the stripe to make it 59-56.  King's got off another three with 0:06 to play that would have tied the game but it didn't go though the ball went off FDU and King's got one last shot with 0:02 left.  The Monarchs turned the ball over on the inbounds though, and FDU earned the hard-fought victory.

Williamson recorded nine points in the win while Acito added four points and six assists.

The Devils return to action on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Brooklyn beginning at 7 pm.
