MADISON, NJ - Leading 21-14 at halftime, Lebanon Valley scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to beat the College at Florham Devils by a score of 41-14 in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The Dutchmen forced five turnovers to help set up great field position throughout the afternoon on their way to the victory.

After FDU went three-and-out on the opening possession of the game, Lebanon Valley marched 54 yards in seven play to take a 7-0 lead on a seven-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Leo Kyte to junior wide receiver Joey Miller with 9:04 left in the first quarter.  The Devils responded immediately though, going 65 yards in seven plays to tie the game at 7-7 thanks to a three-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Anthony Ognibene to freshman running back Nick DeFeo with 5:14 to go.  The big play of the drive came on a third-and-three from their own 42 when Ognibene hit junior wide receiver Anthony Fruncillo for 25 yards and a first down.  This time it was the Dutchmen's turn to respond, as Lebanon Valley went back on top by a score of 14-7 on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Kyte to junior wide receiver Jake Zeigler with 2:47 remaining that capped a five-play, 65-yard drive.

Halfway through the second quarter, the Devils lined up to punt but a bad snap gave the Dutchmen the ball at the FDU 28-yard line.  Lebanon Valley cashed in eight players later as junior running back Evan Fink took it in from two yards out to make the score 21-7 with 5:18 left before intermission.  FDU came back with their best drive of the afternoon on their next possession.  Starting with the ball on their own 25-yard line, the Devils embarked on a 14-play, 75-yard drive to pull within 21-14 on a 12-yard touchdown pass from Ognibene to freshman wide receiver Ted Cebulski with 0:46 to play.  During the drive, FDU had three third-down conversions before converting on a fourth-and-ten the play before the touchdown.

The Dutchmen picked up where they left off the begin the third quarter, starting with the ball and going 65 yards in 13 plays to grab a 28-14 lead on a one-yard touchdown run from Fink.  The Devils turned it over on their next series but the defense stopped Fink on a fourth-and-one from the FDU six-yard line to get the ball back.  Junior safety Josh Borreli intercepted Ognibene on FDU's third play and returned it for a touchdown to make the score 35-14 in favore of Lebanon Valley with 4:56 to go in the third quarter. 

Lebanon Valley completed the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run from junior running back Brenden Kain with 5:42 remaining in the fourth to seal the win.

Ognibene finished the game 12-of-24 for 99 yards to go along with two touchdowns and four interceptions while senior running back Frank Trivigno rushed 14 times for 44 yards.  Junior wide receiver Bryan Soletto contributed six catches for 32 yards.  On defense, junior linebacker Mike Mancino notched a game-high 17 tackles and recovered a fumble while sophomore safety Troy Scales tallied 13 tackles and forced a fumble.  Sophomore defensive back Mickey Weiks made four stops, forced a fumble and intercepted a pass.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Misericordia beginning at 1 pm.
