Box Score ST. DAVIDS, PA - The College at Florham Devils were beaten by Eastern, 84-62, in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 8-8 (3-2) while the Eagles improved to 10-5 (3-2).

Through the first 9:23 of play, the Devils trailed Eastern by a point, 17-16, but the Eagles then embarked on a half-closing 31-13 run to take a 48-29 lead at the break.

FDU made their big run of the game to begin the second half, opening with a 16-7 run to close to within 55-45 with 15:11 to go in the game.  The deficit was still at 10 points, 68-58, with 7:05 to go but that was as close as the Devils would get as Eastern put the game away with a 12-1 run over the next five and a half minutes to grab an 80-59 lead with 2:26 remaining.

Senior guard Adam Katz led FDU with a team-high 16 points while sophomore forward Will Green added nine points and six rebounds.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Wilkes beginning at 3 pm.
